Our Newest Addition...

Last Friday, Danny and I had a long talk and decided that we wanted to grow our family. We decided to adopt a small, cute, 11 week old Boston Terrier. The night we brought her home, we took her to PetCo (where the pets go...) and let her pick out a new crate, bed, collar, leash, food and treats. She sat in my arms the majority of the time we were in the store. We had lots of fun!

Dada named her Luna. We spent the entire weekend speaking baby talk (since technically, she IS an infant) and cuddling with our newest child. She loves to sleep on Dada's belly (can't blame her for that!) and even loves the nape of his neck. As soon as he puts his hands on her, she turns to mush.

She met Caitlin and Michiah Sunday night around 6pm. She was very shy at first and wasn't quite sure how to behave around them. She didn't leave our side for about 45 minutes after they got home. The girls and I were home today for Presidents Day so Luna enjoyed getting to know them most of the day.

We read that it will take up to 3 months to properly house train her but we're not worried. She has done a wonderful job so far! She is having a tough time on the leash but it's all a matter of her getting use to it. We took her for her 1st puppy walk today. It took her a while to get use to the idea of walking around tied to my hand but eventually took off and at one point, even began to run (until she realized how short the leash was...lol).

She was so cute, I had to record her hopping and jumping:

Here are the first pictures taken of our little darling taken today. Take in mind, it's hard to snap pictures of a rambunctious little scamp like Luna.

Isn't she gorgeous? Looks just like a Howell, doesn't she? Riley and Molly will meet her Wednesday evening. I can only imagine how excited they'll be to meet their new sister!

She is beautiful! Is this after the character in Harry Potter named Luna Lovegood? Thanks for sharing your blog, Howell Family. :)
